WA
VIC
No on both of those.
Northern Territory and ACT
Northern Territory because Darwin is right up at the top end.
And ACT, just across the lake in Yarralumla.
taking a big punt here on “jurisdictions”, so could it be Norfolk and Phillip Islands?
according to the ABS, the *state* centres of population are all north of the CBD
Melbourne was most likely the closest to the CBD, being around Pentridge.
NSW, must be the attraction Coofs Harbour & Byron Bay, let alone Nimbin.
NT, not a chance with the CBD almost on the harbour, and Katherine and The Alice dragging it south.
WA turns out to be “*moving* south towards Perth”
QLD – The GC and Brissy wouldn’t be enough to counterbalance all that real estate to the north.
Tassie, Launceston drags the centre inland.
SA is in the burb’s but still north of the city.
Saying jurisdictions is just a way to say states and onshore territories.
