South Africa, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo and Ethiopia? I excluded the ones touching the Mediterranean as I suspect many people don’t think of them as African.
Your first two are in the top four. But not the DRC or Ethiopia.
In my experience very few people know the Democratic Republic of the Congo is even a country.
I would guess:
South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria and Kenya.
But I would not be surprised if people didn’t realise Egypt was in Africa, and instead go with Madagascar (because the movie).
Your first three are correct. But Kenya didn’t quite make it.
The fourth one is tied with Nigeria and is in the North.
