Imagine the earth was a globe 1 foot across.
If you were thirsty, what container could you fill with all of the water on earth? A beer jug, a pint glass, a schooner glass, a shot glass, or none of the above?

(Having double checked the question)
It would be a fairly miserly pour into a shot glass, I would think. It may be 70% of the surface, but the surface is pretty shallow.
In any case, it wouldn’t help if you were thirsty – it would be a shot of brine.
(Of course, the oceans being briny didn’t prevent Thor having a go at drinking them all.)
Double checking is good. Especially given your history!
And yes, you would wind up with just a briny half a shot glass worth of water.
A foot across, none of the above. It amounts to about 0.6 fluid ounces.
(Well, maybe that’s a shot at a really, really, REALLY stingy bar?)
No legitimate bar would dare sell such a half assed shot.
