I originally thought of King Canute but could see no reference to him by that name. Research showed that he was slightly earlier than Canute and had unified rule over Scandinavia and much of Britain. He was known as Harald Blatand (Bluetooth) for reasons not fully agreed upon. When engineers were working on an electronic system to connect everything they decided to name it after him. The Bluetooth logo is a combination of the Nordic initials of his name.
That’s the answer and the story.
Bluetooth
(he connected several kingdoms)
I see what you did there.
