We use wikipedia a lot at iQ Trivia, and like many people, we use it in English. In fact, English has by far more wikipedia articles than any other language.
What language has the second highest number of wikipedia articles?
The first new player to comment with the correct answer wins a free drink at their next iQ Trivia show.
And while you’re thinking about this, why not donate to Wikipedia so their service can remain free.
French
You might think so given how keen les Francais are on defending their language, but it’s not French.
It is a European language. In fact, all of the top five are European.
Being Swedish I reallly like this question, I believe our language might be no 2 on the list? Honestly the main reason for this is a Swedish author bot (lsjbot) that has generated some 3 million articles, most of them concerning animal species…
Congratulations! (Or should I say grattis?)
For whatever reason, there are more Wikipedia articles in Swedish than in any other language apart from English. (Av någon anledning, det finns fler Wikipedia-artiklar på svenska än på något annat språk förutom Inglés.)
