The Bow Bells haven’t been ringing for many a long year.
Well ringing or not, the amount of street noise has gone up over the years, to the point where there are no maternity wards within earshot of Bow Bells, and the area has become much more commercial than residential anyway.
Luckily, the vicar posted an MP3 of the bells online, so it can be played during births wherever they happen, and a new generation of Cockneys can be born all over the world.
