INTERESTING MOMENTS
We played a song on the harp, and asked who performed the original. Pretty straightforward. But then someone answered with the relatively obscure harp duo that performed the cover, which we’re pretty sure they got by looking it up. But either way, their answer was the cover artist not the original. The lesson here is, even if you’re cheating, you still have to answer the question we asked.
When asked if they’d rather losee the ability to understand English or the ability to understand sarcasm, one team noted that choosing to lose sarcasm was basically becoming autistic.
We often give leeway on a question if you put an answer in the wrong space. But when one team’s answer to a picture question about Iron Man was “Montana”, and their answer to a question on The Godfather was “poop”, and they stated that “woman” is a palindrome, our ability to grant leeway is somewhat limited.
After we played a song backwards, one team wrote their answer backwards. It took us a moment to figure out that PMUJ is JUMP backwards, and it was a risky proposition guessing that we would figure that out, but we appreciated it.
And our leaders have maintained their position at the top of the table.
