We asked about Horatio Hornblower, and one team guessed the answer was Ozzy Osbourne.

In addition to correctly answering a question on the kimono, one team wrote their answer in Japanese. Which we confirmed as accurate.

A Google auto-complete question was looking for “lawyer” as an occupation, and a number of guesses were prostitute and drag queen.

When asked about major actors in The King’s Speech, one team guessed that Chris Rock had a starring role.

Sydney Trivia Tuesday – The Occidental – Wynyard – 7:15

Sydney trivia is on every Tuesday, and it’s just a stone’s throw from Wynyard so it’s easy to find.

It’s at The Occidental at 43 York Street in Sydney and it is kicking off every Tuesday at 7:15pm.

We’ve got interesting trivia, we’ve got great food from the bistro, we’ve got happy hour prices until 6:30 (so get in early), and we’ve got prizes courtesy of The Occi.

In short, we have got everything you need for a great night out in Sydney.

So when you finish work on a Tuesday, you can either go home right away, or you can assemble your friends in Wynyard for the most interesting trivia in Sydney.  It’s bound to be a great night out if you are into beer and trivia. (And if you’re not, we have no idea why you are still reading.)

If you’re the kind of person who has memorised every Melbourne Cup winner, congratulations. But to be honest, that probably won’t help you. This isn’t an exam. Rather than just spitting out facts, you’ll probably have have to do some lateral thinking. We will ask questions that you won’t see coming. We will ask questions you probably won’t know off the top of your head, but will enjoy arguing about with your friends.
