That’s it.
When they first referred to his bunny sketch, the called it Bugs’ Bunny, and that gradually became Bugs Bunny.
Bugs or Bugsy.
Bugs it is.
And that’s also why we call his creation by the name Bugs. (Though it was originally Bugs’ Bunny.)
Bugsy. He created the iconic rabbit. Until he was actually given a name, the rodent was known as “Bug’s bunny”.
