There has been a lot of discussion about the housing market, and about how certain generations might have an easier time buying houses if they didn’t spend so much of their money on avocados.

So we wondered… what costs more?  Houses, or avocados?

Specifically, what costs more per kilogram?  The average 200m² two storey Australian house with a timber frame & brick exterior, or an avocado from Woolworths or Coles.

Interesting Question of the Day – 23 July 2018

We came across a list of largest economies per unit of land area.  That’s the highest GDP (Purchasing Power Parity) per square kilometre of land area, and were not counting countries smaller than 30,000 sqkm, or about half the size of Tasmania.  (So Monaco at $3 billion per square kilometre is out.)
